May Crowning – May 3
Our May crowning of the statue of St. Mary in our church will take place during the 8:00 Mass on Sunday morning, May 3. All children, boys and girls, who are making their First Communion this spring are invited to take part. They are asked to wear their First Communion outfits and to meet in the church library 15 minutes before Mass begins.
We Need Your Musical Talent
We are in need of musicians to play accompaniment for our canters during the 8:00 AM Sunday Mass. We are also in need of singers and musicians to provide music during the Saturday 6:00 PM Mass. Any organists, pianists, keyboardists, guitarists, or singers who would be willing to lend their talents to enrich our worship, please contact Father Chris in the parish office.
Know Your Faith!
We are proud to present a new educational opportunity called Lighthouse Catholic Media, a practical and effective program to help Catholics know their Faith...to keep their Faith! We all live busy lives. Finding the time to come to church outside of Mass and learn about our faith is often difficult. Soon you will be able to listen in your home, or car and help you deepen your understanding and love for the faith. There will be CDs in the kiosk at the entrance of church, featuring some of the most inspiring Catholic speakers—bishops, priests, deacons and eminent Catholic lay men and women. We ask for a donation of $3 per CD. When these CD’s are gone—they’re gone. And a new set with different titles and speakers will be ordered. We encourage you to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity! I know you will enjoy them, as I have! Thanks, Lori
First Friday Adoration, May 1
This Friday, being the first Friday of the month, there will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament all day, beginning after the 8 a.m. Mass, and ending at 5:45 p.m. with Benediction. A bilingual Mass will follow at 6:00 p.m. Please consider spending some time before the Real Presence of our Lord and Savior. There is a signup sheet in the entryway, if you can commit to a half-hour of adoration. It is a wonderful gift to our world, that we spend time here in silent adoration before our God.
